PGCert Library Parity and Off-Campus Licences
The same reading list must be lawful for Warsaw campus and tuition-free online—licences, not slogans.
Conferred under the Polish Law on Higher Education with European ECTS Diploma Supplement.
ApplyAcademic Overview
Off-campus licences fail in the small print: alumni, partner students, and ‘UK only’ IP ranges that exclude a student on a Polish island. This PGCert starts with those clauses. You will audit a reading list, propose lawful substitutes, and brief a dean when a module cannot be dual pathway without a purchase. Identity-checked assessment still needs a library. Faculty mark whether you can explain that to a budget holder without hiding behind a discovery-layer screenshot. The award is not CILIP chartership and not Jisc employment. Capstones are parity audits for a named dual-pathway programme. IU International University of Applied Sciences will fail a parity audit that assumes a campus walk-in right equals remote access. You will name UK-only IP ranges, alumni exclusions, and modules that cannot honestly run online without purchase. Faculty mark whether student-facing guidance matches the click path. No publisher, Jisc, or CILIP logos. Storm weeks and phone-only access belong in the dossier because they are how dual-pathway students actually read. If the set chapter is unlawful off-campus, the module is not dual pathway until the reading list changes. That is the whole point. PGCert Library Parity and Off-Campus Licences is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 9 months, and the credit total is 15. Students move from Walk-In, Remote, and Authentication Reality through Walk-In, Remote, and Authentication Reality; UK-Only, Site, and Alumni Clauses; Auditing a Dual-Pathway List; Comms that Match the Click Path; Polish HE Library Practice Literacy, and finish on Polish HE Library Practice Literacy. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students apply the method of the subject to a defined problem and defend the result. Reading is a core text, a case or dataset, and a critique. The artefact a marker expects is a submission that shows the method, the evidence, and the limit of the claim. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Audit a reading list for campus/online licence parity Explain vendor clauses to academics without theatre Specify lawful substitutes and purchase cases Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
