LLB (Hons) Law
Rigorous qualifying legal scholarship, critical advocacy, and modern jurisprudence
Conferred under the Polish Law on Higher Education with European ECTS Diploma Supplement.
ApplyAcademic Overview
The LLB (Hons) Law provides a rigorous qualifying legal education designed to develop analytical precision, ethical judgement, and persuasive advocacy. Rooted in common law traditions and modern international practice, the programme takes you through the foundational pillars of legal scholarship — including Contract, Tort, Criminal, Public, and Property Law — alongside cutting-edge modules in Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property, and Cyber Law. You will engage with real-world case law, participate in simulated moot court trials, and draft professional legal opinions under the mentorship of seasoned legal academics and practitioners. LLB (Hons) Law is taught as one award, not a list of unrelated modules. The published length is 3 years full-time, and the credit total is 360. Students move from Legal Method & the English Legal System through Legal Method & the English Legal System; Public Law & Constitutional Principles; Law of Contract; Criminal Law & Procedure; Law of Tort & Civil Obligations; Legal Writing, Advocacy & Mooting, and finish on Honours Law Dissertation & Legal Clinic Capstone. Each course has a question, a method, and a submission. In this field, students say who decides, under which rule, and draft a note a professional could read. Reading is a statute or instrument, a case or policy paper, and a commentary. The artefact a marker expects is a memo or draft clause with sources and a revision note. The award is built so that a graduate can do the following in practice: Synthesise and critically evaluate complex case law, statutes, and legal doctrines across common law and international frameworks Draft precise legal advice, pleadings, contractual terms, and statutory interpretations for corporate and civil clients Construct persuasive oral and written legal arguments adhering to professional and ethical advocacy standards Teaching assumes the student can read a source, attempt a problem before the seminar, and revise after feedback. Attendance at live seminars is part of the design. The capstone or final course must use the methods of the earlier courses; a project that ignores them does not pass. This course is academic. It does not admit the student to practise law and it is not a qualifying law degree. The pages for each course name the topics that are examined. Those topics are the syllabus. A brochure line is not a substitute for them.
The degree is awarded directly by IU International University of Applied Sciences, seated in Warsaw, Poland. Studies are conducted in full alignment with Polish and European academic standards.
